Here is how to transfer WhatsApp chat history from one iPhone to another without iCloud. With this feature, people can switch iPhones easily.
WhatsApp has released a new feature for beta tester in iOS, which will help to transfer chats from one iPhone to another directly without using iCloud. This feature was available for Android users earlier but adding this for iPhones makes it better. You can test out this feature by downloading WhatsApp beta 23.9.0.72 for iOS.
As mentioned in a blog by Whatbetainfo, this feature is presently available for limited users only and will be rolled out for more users soon. The feature is named as “Transfer chats to iPhone” in WhatsApp settings.

Steps to transfer WhatsApp chat history from one iPhone to another
To use this feature, you need two iPhones and follow these steps. First, you may need to download WhatsApp on the second iPhone. One thing to note here is that both iPhone should have same phone number registered. This can be done by another new feature added by WhatsApp recently.
With the feature to use same phone number of multiple phones, you can sign in with same phone number on two iPhones. Once done, go to WhatsApp settings of the main iPhone> Click on chats > Below the “Move chats to Android” you will see a new option called “Transfer chats to iPhone”.

Once you click on the link, a QR code will be generated, which you may need to scan using the new iPhone. The transfer process will start and will complete based on the data size on your WhatsApp in the main phone.
Advantages of Transfer chats to iPhone feature without iCloud
The main advantages that people who use iPhone will be the faster switching of iPhones. Earlier, the chats needed to be synced with iCloud and transferred to a new phone, but direct transfer will make the process easy.

Another advantage here is that for users who have free iCloud account, the storage space is limited to 5 GB. With a lot of Chats, Photos and Videos in backup, the cloud storage will get filled soon. This new feature will remove that limitation and make it easier.
