Last year’s M2 processor had up to eight graphics cores, four high-performance cores, and four low-performance cores.
A 28-core Mac Pro with Afterburner can edit up to 30 streams of 4K ProRes video on the new M2 Max processor from Apple, as well as up to seven streams of 8K ProRes video on the M2 Max chip.
There is also a 16-core Neural Engine in the M2 Pro and M2, which aids the new MacBook Pro models in machine learning.
